I’ve always been curious about people and what makes them tick, so maybe it makes sense that I started my career in HR. For fifteen years I helped people and businesses grow, navigate change, and do their best work. I loved the human side of the work, but over time, I realized I missed having a creative outlet of my own.

I’d been interested in color theory for years, from studying art history in college to eventually having my own color analysis done. The more I learned about color analysis, the more I realized how it brought together so many things I already loved — from art and connecting with people to my experience as a competitive dancer, where I’d seen firsthand the role color and costume can play in building stage presence.

Color Story Co. grew naturally out of these experiences and a belief that color analysis should be about confidence, not rules — understanding what colors bring out your best while still giving you the freedom to make them your own.
